I wanted to start on Kira's room hoping to get it painted by this weekend. So early this morning I started tearing down the top layer of wallpaper, little did I know there would be layer after layer after layer.....finally six layers later we found the plaster.
This was her room before. I should have just left it.
The red was the second layer under the orange and blue flowers, then it was a brown wood looking layer , a brown with blue and red flowers, then a blue and gold swirls on cream, then a baby blue something that we think was the original. Meaning it is over 100 years old.
Little did we know there was a reason for all the layers of wallpaper, they were holding the walls together! under the last layer the walls are crumbling! Huge cracks run down the walls. What we thought was going to be a fairly quick and cheep fix is turning out not to be either (quick or cheep)All in all I am up to my elbows in wallpaper scraps and wish I had never started.

Wow, who knew! I hope it turns out well in the long run
Oh my heavens!! I don't envy you at all....
But I'm sure the end result will be worth it (right?)
Good luck!!
YES I feel the same about it. After taking it off of my kitchen wall I cringe at the just the word.....
