All American, Update

During the Summer Kira started Gymnastics, you know the bars, beam, floor and vault  anyway she really took to it in the last 6 months she has advanced 3 levels and made the All American Gymnastics Team. We are all so proud of her. She is at the gym for 5 hours and so far has loved every minute of it.

Malin has started kindergarten and has mad a friend his first that is not related to him in some way. His name is Nathan and they are in the same class at school and at church, he lives down the street and we carpool together so the only day the dont see eachother is sometimes saturday. He is totally in love with the Avengers the other day Jax was crying in the stoor and he said with a drop dead serious face " Mom I think he needs to go home and watch Avengers, then he will feel much better." that boy says some seriously funny stuff. Also " Dad dont tickle my eyebrows!!!!!"

Jaxon has now learned to walk, go up the stairs, open cuppards and drawers and run away when you call him. we have started calling him Cheezer sometimes because he gives the cheesiest grins when you smile at him or say cheese! he tilts his head back, squints his eyes and gives the biggest grin, it is all really cute I totally love it!!

Oh Baby Baby!

As many of you know we started the adoption process in April. With LDS Family services it takes about 6 months to get all the paperwork and certifications finished then your profile is available online for viewing, from there we were told the average wait time till placement of a child is two years. Well just like everything else in our lives things our adoption was on fast forward. I am pleased to announce we are now the proud family of a beautiful little boy. Little did we know when we started the process that we would have a baby less than 6 months later.
August 27, 2011 we received a call first thing in the morning from a birth mother who introduced herself then asked if we wanted to adopt her baby, needless to say I was a little shocked and almost speechless! I was so excited this is what I had been waiting for, another baby! then she goes on to tell us that her due date was today (the 27th) and again my shock goes up another notch. We agreed to meet and later that day we did. She was an amazing woman so wise and down to earth. She informed us that while she was due they were not going to worry about it till the 11th of September because he was measuring small. So we started waiting and preparing as quickly as possible for the birth of out third child. As the days went by and the 11th got closer and closer we wondered when he would arrive the 11th came and went and still he was not here. Then on September 14 we received a call saying she was in the hospital and we should come. Once we arrived at the hospital we found out she had been there since 2:00 that morning. Then 36 hours of hard labor later our son was born. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen and the first labor I had ever been able to witness. My respect for the birth mother went sky high as I saw what she had to do to bring our baby into this world. I will forever be indebted to her for the sacrifice and love she has shown. He was beautiful at 8 lbs and 21 inches long was our biggest baby yet. due to some complications he was soon whisked away to the nursery where we followed and stood by his bed Looking and adoring our new son. The hospital so kindly let us stay in the long term room so we never had to leave him. Later that weekend we were able to bring him home. Kira and Malin are so excited for their new brother and so far things are going great.

It's Been Forever!!

So much has happened since my last post. After spending the summer in our 5th wheel we bought a house and moved to Taylor, Arizona.

We are now close to my family, I have loved spending time with them and letting the kids get to know their other grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Our Little man is growing up and turned 4 in Feb. He has also discovered Thundercats and is rarely seen without his "Sword of Omens".

Kira is loving being in Mrs. Hastings class and is learning so much. Math is her favorite and she is constantly asking me to "Play Math" with her. She also got a puppy she named Sparkles for Christmas which keeps us all busy, including Jasmine.

We went to the Renaissance festival and the kids got to ride on an elephant which was the highlight of the whole festival for them, Well that and the fairies, princesses, jousting, bird show, and swords. Now I have a really original family photo in my living room, and a great reminder of time well spent together.

Thank you WINCO

Today while shopping at Walmart a woman came up to me and my sister in law saying she noticed we had alot of children and asking if we had heard of the Winco Foods ad. We said no so she went on to tell us about this AMAZING ad that was good for one day only and that we did not even need to have the add with us to get this great deal. There are tonz on deals every day but this one was Amazing because this ad gave away FREE food. So I would like to thank the Lady in Walmart for giving me and my family all this food for Free!!! 12 huge bags of malt-o-meal cereal, 12 cartons of 64oz orange juice, 12 packages of english muffins, 12-dozen eggs and 12 packages of yummy bacon. All in all this is totally the best ad ever!!

Cattle Drive

There are city cowboys and country cowboys and then there are real cowboys. Living in a fairly populated area the best Sterling could possibly pull off would be a country cowboy you know the kind, they love riding horses, eating beef and wearing boots. Although they love all these things they are still just "country cowboys" well last weekend Sterling got to be a "real cowboy" and go on a cattle drive. Thanks to his friend Hal he had the opportunity to drive cattle across the plains of northern Utah. An experience I know he will never forget.

Our front yard

So, Since we have moved out to Newton there have been some AMAZING sunsets, I have been so happy this summer living next to the lake. This is a once in a life time experience and I am so grateful that we all get to experience it together as a family.
